NEW- Homecare and in-office treatment for hyperpigmentation

Skinceuticals has just released a new homecare product and in-office treatment for hyperpigmentation. Pigment Regulator is used at home twice a day to help achieve full face lightening. In clinical studies it was shown to give a similar effect as hydroquinone 4%. This product combines an exfoliating blend with pigment regulators to help reduce melanin production, prevent the melanin deposts from reaching the surface, and helps to break up melanin clusters on the skin's surface.

NEW - Colorescience Let Me Be Clear brush

This is a soft focus finishing powder for acne patients to be used alone or with your mineral makeup. This tinted finishing powder will mattify and help reduce the redness that comes from blemishes and even out the brown tones left from old acne. Can be applied before and/or after makeup and can be applied throughout the day. This does have salicylic acid, so only apply once a day to start to make sure that it will not be too active with your other acne products. Should be fine to use throughout the day - but take it slow to start. Cost of product is $55.

UPDATE ON LIP DEFINE BY ALLERGHAN

I just wanted to let everyone know that this stuff is really working on me. I have been using it for about 4 weeks or so and all of a sudden i notice that my lips definately have more volume. Now, i know that my lips are already full- but there is a marked improvement in the plumpness of my lips. At $45 a tube this lip plumper is worth the money.

New Esthetician joins our practice

For those who haven't heard, Katie Kelley has joined our practice as esthetician. Katie is a registered nurse who has a background in the plastic surgery field. She is very warm, approachable, and excited to help you with your skincare needs. She is offering 25% off to new clients for the months of October and November for skincare and laser hair removal. NEW LIP PLUMPER PRODUCT

Allerghan (the makers of Latisse and Botox) have a new lip plumper product. Unlike other lip plumpers, this one does not give an immediate plump. Over time(about 1 month) lip volume, fullness and hydration improve giving you fuller softer lips. Key ingredients are Palmitoyl Oligopeptide to stimulate collagen, Centella Asiatica to aid in collagen production and skin tightening, Grean tea and tocopherol (antioxidants) to smooth and condition lips, as well as other lip conditioners and moisturizers. The mechanism of action is to stimulate collagen synthesis which builds volume, stimulate glycosominoglycans for plumping, build hyaluronic acid which equals more water volume and to maintain the newly formed collagen. Product is applied 3 times a day for one month and then can go to once or twice a day for maintenance.
At only $45 a tube this product is a must have.

A.G.E. Eye Complex

Our newest eye cream is AGE Eye Complex by Skinceuticals and i think it is worth a try. I would say that this eye cream is geared to the 40 and above crowd. For younger eyes or eyes only showing minimal signs of aging, the Skinceuticals Eye Cream may be a better choice.
The biggest difference between this eye cream and others is that with the ingredients of Proxylane and Blueberry extract the effects of intrinsic aging are addressed.
Short term results are reduction in dark circles and diminished puffiness via flavonoids and peptides. Long term results are a reduction in wrinkles and crow's feet with proxylane which helps "restuff the mattress" of the skin and long term prevention of crows feet and wrinkles via Blueberry extract which interrupts the skin's glycation process.
Clinical results were good- after 12 weeks there was almost a 30% reduction in dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles.
I definately prefer this eye cream and highly recommend it.
